4. AI Processing and Third-Party Providers

To provide AI-powered responses, your questions and relevant document content are sent to third-party AI providers for processing. These providers process data in accordance with their own data processing agreements and do not use your data to train their models.

Your documents and queries may be processed on servers located outside of Australia. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that any overseas recipients of your data are bound by obligations that are substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database platform. Documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
  • Role-based access controls to ensure data isolation between organisations.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) support for account security.
  • Regular security reviews and monitoring.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Isolation

Each organisation's data is logically isolated within the Service. Your documents, chat history, and team information are only accessible to members of your organisation. We do not share your uploaded content with other organisations or users.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share data with trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the Service (such as AI processing, payment processing, email delivery, and hosting). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Safety and enforcement: We may disclose information to protect the rights, safety, or property of Alfie AI, our users, or the public, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
